This summer we will offer in-person/outdoor classes.  We will continue to follow the San Diego county mask mandates and ask that you please wear a mask until seated outdoors.

Union-Tribune language columnist Richard Lederer will talk about the many advantages of becoming chronologically endowed. Dr. Lederer will also be pleased to answer your questions about language and writing.


Richard Lederer is the author of more than 50 books about language, history, and humor, including his best-selling Anguished English series and his current books, A Treasury of Halloween Humor and A Treasury of Christmas Humor.


Dr. Lederer’s syndicated column, “Lederer on Language,” appears in newspapers and magazines throughout the United States, including the San Diego Union-Tribune.  He is a founding co-host of “A Way With Words” on KPBS Public Radio. He has been named International Punster of the Year and Toastmasters International’s Golden Gavel winner.

"Caprice Strings" 






Join us for live music in the garden with Caprice Strings, a trio ensemble who beautifully melds the string sounds of violin, viola, and cello. Caprice has performed widely over the past 20 years with an extensive repertoire that embraces baroque, classical and contemporary works – from Bach to Mozart to Gershwin and The Beatles.

Peggie Moore, is a certified Yoga Instructor (RYT500), Reiki Master, and has also received her certification as a BEWELL Yoga for Cancer teacher. Peggie has practiced yoga her entire adult life and is passionate about working with every age, size, shape, and ability who has the desire to find their way to yoga and to a healthier, happier life. This class will teach you ways in which you can reduce stress, improve well-being, and improve your strength and flexibility. Appropriate modifications are provided for students.
