About the Senior Center

The idea of an organization designed to meet the needs of area seniors was conceived by a group of neighbors, friends and local professionals. The Rancho Santa Fe Senior Center opened its doors in March, 1988, in a donated space in the basement of the Rancho Santa Fe Library. In September, 2002, the Senior Center moved into its present location, a house designed and built by one of the community's architectural celebrities, Lilian Rice.

Since its inception, the Senior Center has helped countless seniors and their families by providing resource information, educational programs and social activities. The original purpose of the organization remains the same - to provide services which assist seniors in living healthy, full and independent lives.

The Senior Center is managed by compassionate, knowledgeable staff and a dedicated board of directors. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, programs and services are funded entirely by contributions from generous supporters. Please consider making a donation in support of the Senior Center's services and programs. For more information call, (858) 756-3041.
